Mark & Larkin Hammond Founded Larkin’s Restaurants in 1998 in Lake Lure, North Carolina and established LARKIN’S ON THE LAKE and BAY FRONT BAR & GRILL as a premier dining destination in the beautiful setting of Lake Lure.
In 2005 Larkin’s Restaurants set out to expand their hospitality business with an addition in Greenville, SC – LARKIN’S ON THE RIVER, the restaurant, catering & premier event center located at the PEACE CENTER in Downtown Greenville.
Seeing a need for a GREAT burger in Greenville, Larkin had the idea of a creative burger restaurant, offering the best burgers, the best buns with the best toppings they could source. With the assistance of Mark Hammond, they developed a management team, menu and facility to deliver the best service and atmosphere to enjoy their great burgers, salads, sides and desserts – and opened GRILL MARKS in September of 2012. To top it all off, the creation of a gourmet milk shake, adult milk shake menu and an amazing wine list will further enhance the dining experience at MARKS!
In 2015, while walking through an available space in downtown Greenville, everyone though it was giving off a distinct Italian vibe. Over a few glasses of prosecco, it was decided that they would pay homage to Larkin’s Italian heritage and share some of her Grandparents recipes with the world, enter Limoncello. It has turned into a neighborhood gathering spot with guests dining nightly around the fountain on the beautiful Piazza.
Further expanding the brand, GRILL MARKS opened another location in COLUMBIA, SC in August 2015, and at the Haywood Mall in Greenville, SC in November 2017.
